Through the ‘Helping Hands’ project, 128 students ( inclusive of orphans and those from impoverished families) from grade 1 to 10 from the Thalikkulam GTMS School in Vavuniya were gifted a stationary pack through ADRA Sri Lanka. In addition, 190 books were distributed to 21 students in V/Poovarasu Primary School in Vavuniya.
The schools are also a focus of the Returnee Reintegration and Network Livelihood Intervention and the assistance was meant to complement their efforts.
The ‘Helping Hands’ project is an initiative of the ADRA Sri Lanka staff who personally contributed towards it’s function to get involved directly with the communities. The intervention this year was also complemented by a donation from Robert Patton and his Family. We thank the ADRA Staff and Mr. Robert Patton for their dedication towards ensuring that all live as God intended.
